Organization: Epilepsy Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island , headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, is a state affiliate of the Epilepsy Foundation of America. EFMRI is the only not-for-profit organization in Massachusetts specifically dedicated to the welfare of more than 80,000 people with epilepsy in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

EFMRI supports direct service programs for people with epilepsy and their families. EFMRI also offers programs of information and education for lay and professional audiences.

Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and advised by active Consumer and Professional Advisory Boards, the primary goal of EFMRI is to assist individuals with epilepsy and their families to make decisions and take action regarding health care, productivity, independence and community participation.
