Globe Santa

Serves eastern Massachusetts. Families request toys by writing to Globe Santa, stating their family size and need. This must be verified and countersigned by a social service or religious agency that is currently registered with the Globe Santa fund.

Boston - Christmas in the City Wishlists

PContact program for application deadline At the time of sign-up, a time and date will be given for gift pick-up. To sign up families need to bring a picture ID for themselves, proof that they are the parent, like birth certificates, and Mass Health cards for both the children and parent(s).

Braintree - Holiday / Friends, Inc.

Holiday food basket program: Thanksgiving turkey baskets and Christmas ham baskets. Provides toys for children under 15 toys, with proof of age such as a birth certificate. Braintree residents must bring proof of residency when filling out forms. Must be a Braintree resident and apply in person by November 14 for Thanksgiving and December 12 for Christmas. Bring proof of residency, such as an electric bill, phone bill, lease, or mortgage bill dated and postmarked.

Dorchester - BCD Turkey Assistance Program

The ABCD Dorchester Neighborhood Service Center (DNSC) is currently accepting applications for its Turkey Assistance Program. Contact your case manager for more details. If you don’t currently have a case manager, call (617) 288-2700 or visit the DNSC at 110 Claybourne Street, Dorchester, MA 02124 (a block past the intersection of Park and Washington Streets across from the old Lucy Stone school).

Fall River - Citizens for Citizens, Operation Christmas

Provides toys to parents of children from birth to 12 years of age to be given as gifts at Christmas. (Serves surrounding towns of Somerset, Swansea and Westport).
Custodial parent of children may apply.
Documentation Needed: Medical cards or social security number.

To sign up you must appear in person and bring proof of income, social security numbers for all in family, and a bill that shows you live in Franklin County.  
Residents of Greenfield, Leydon, and Deerfield can apply for meals and toys
Residents of Conway, Erving, Sunderland, and Wendell may apply for toys.
The dates for signing up are:  November 17 and 18 from 9-12

Haverhill - Salvation Army

Provides services that include food pantries, rent payment assistance, electric bill payment assistance, gas bill payment assistance, utility payment assistance, Christmas baskets, Thanksgiving dinner and prescription. Thanksgiving dinner is being held on November 26 at noon at 395 Main Street no sign up is necessary. For Christmas baskets apply in person on November 3, 5, 6, 10 and 13 from 9:00 - 11:00 and from 1:00 - 3:00. Must bring photo ID for all adults, insurance card and birth certificate for each child, for adopted or foster children must bring court documents, proof of income within 30 days, and proof of residency. Go to door #6 in back of parking lot.

Holyoke - Salvation Army Toy for Joy

Provides holiday gifts/toys and holiday donations for families with children ages 0-16. For residents of Holyoke, Chicopee, Granby, and South Hadley.

Provides assistance to Mansfield residents which includes holiday gifts/toys for children in 12th grade and under. Also provides Christmas baskets to elders. Contact program for application deadline.

 Newburyport - Community Service of Newburyport, Inc.

Provides food pantry, multi-service center (up to 10 nonperishable canned food items per week, used clothing and practical items). Distributes gifts to needy children (up to age 14) at Christmas.  Will accept requests until November 21. Serves the towns of Newburyport, West Newburyport, and Newbury.
The Red Stocking Program distributes presents to children in need in cooperation with church groups, civic clubs, businesses, and individuals. Children must be ages infant to 14 years old and reside in Newburyport, Newbury, or West Newbury.
Sign-up begins in October.  Please bring a photo ID and proof of address.

Norwell Food Pantry / Kids In Need and Holiday Adopt-a-Family Programs

"Kids In Need" is a year round program for any child in Norwell whose family may be having difficulty providing some necessities. Call about "Holiday Adopt A Family" program.

Northbridge - Northbridge Association of Churches Pantry

Provides Christmas toys and baskets for families with children ages 0-17. Emergency food pantry, one visit per month for residents. Food pantry open Tues and Thurs. A traditional turkey dinner is prepared and served on Christmas Day. This is open to anyone in the community needing a hot meal or just some good company, and there is no charge.  The dinner is served from 12:30 - 2:30 PM.  Contact the church office at 508-234-2275

Scituate Community Christmas

Scituate Community Christmas is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization formed to help provide food and new Christmas gifts to Scituate families who are faced with economic hardship or other circumstances during the holiday season. Since 1989, Scituate Community Christmas has served hundreds of families needing assistance. The organization’s focus is children and the elderly without family in the area. There is a strict residency requirement; all recipients must reside in the Town of Scituate.

Springfield - Holiday Meals, Open Pantry

"Holiday Meals" program provides Christmas meals, Thanksgiving meals, and Easter meals. Home delivery is available to those who are homebound. You can request home delviery starting November 1, 2013. Contact program for  deadline for requesting home delivery for Thanksgiving and for Christmas.

There are no reservations required for the sit down meal. All are welcome to eat, donate their time, money or baking skills.

Taunton - Corline Cronan's Family, Inc.

The Corline Cronan's Family coordinates donations of food, turkeys and volunteers for a hot meal for the homeless, less forturnate, lonely citizens on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter holidays.Meal site is Coyle Cassidy High School.
Meals are also delivered to shut-ins. All attendees can take away a second meal, a bag of canned and non-perishable groceries, as well as gently used clothing. In addition, new items such as blankets, knit hats, gloves, and personal hygiene have been provided at various times.
